Uganda Cranes coach Milutin Sredojevic aka Micho last week named a 25 man squad which left the country to represent the country in the upcoming CHAN tournament in Algeria.
There were some exclusions amd inclusions.
However what surprised people the most was the omission of Ibrahim Kasule.
Without doubt, the attacking midfielder has been the best player in the Uganda Premier League for the first round.
With a number of impressive displays under his belt, it was a real shocker for him to miss making the cut for Micho’s squad.
However, as rumors have it, Kasule seems to have missed out because of transfer speculation.
The former Nansana United player is said to be on the radar of New York Red Bulls where former Uganda Cranes captain Ibrahim Sekagya coaches the reserves.
Kasule is also rumored to be a wantaway name for an anonymous club in Turkey.
Despite all this still being a mystery especially for his next destination, Kasule is likely to leave the Purple Sharks soon.
His passport is said to have been taken away to process his paperwork and travel documents.
Meanwhile the Cranes have so far played two buildup matches ahead of the CHAN tournament.
The team which is camping in Tunisia drew 2-2 with Sudan and 1-1 with Cameroon.
