FIFA World Rankings released- here is Uganda’s position

The football world governing body, Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) has released the latest global football rankings.

The Uganda Cranes have not moved an inch further or backwards from their spot in the rankings that were released by FIFA in December.

Uganda Cranes remained in the 89th position despite playing two games in the past month. Micho‘s troops played a double header against Tanzania in the AFCON 2023 qualifiers.

They lost 1-0 in a game theyhosted in Egypt and later won 1-0 in the return leg in Dar es Salaam. This was courtesy of a Rogers Mato goal in stoppage time.

Morocco are Africa’s number one and the world’s 11th best team. Senegal‘s Lions of Teranga areseconf on the continent and 18th globally.

World champions Argentina retained the top spot. World Cup finalists and runners up France are in the second position.
