Best coach and player in the Uganda Premier League awarded- here they are

The best performers in the player and coach category in the Uganda Premier League have been rewarded by Pilsner Lager. The months of February and March were combined to come up with the winner since there was limited league in the two months due to the national team’s preparations for the AFCON double header agaisnt Tanzania.

Well SC Villa’s coach Jackson Magera has been named the best coach of the month, Feb/March. This is after SC Villa played 5 games and didn’t lose any.

The Jogoos recorded wins against rivals Express, Onduparaka, BUL and Busoga United. There only draw came against Gaddafi. They scored 5 goals and conceded only two whilst keeping two cleansheets.

This run has seen them top the league with 40 points after 20 games. Villa plays Arua Hill next at home on the 19th of April.

For the players category, it was Maroons goalkeeper, Simon Tamale who won the award. He kept 3 clean sheets in the games he featured in. This included a ,an of the match performance against Busoga United.
